We were the first group to take the Permaculture Design course at granja TIXIB!
It took place during the whole month of August, fortunately enough I found sponsors other wise I would have not been able to take the course. With meals included and accommodation in a tent/cabin it costs 1,500 USD.
The course is thought in English because is sold all over the world. This turned out to be a little challenging for some teachers and some students because it created a language barrier for deeper levels of communication, well some times we ended up speaking in Spanish.
We learn many things, including basic training and practice of consensus, and a class in non violent communication. There was a teacher who taught about soils and compost tea. A lecture in Deep ecology and a Visit to the ecovillage HUEHUECOYOTL complemented the course. We built an a frame, a table and a tiny chinampa. We also modeled a self sustaining ruf, prepared cob for a chicken coop and actually started it. We did compost and chore activities of a farm. Also visited several places like the mountains, a center for dry compost toilet development, and an archaeological site called Xochicalco.
Some other things were planned that we never did, and we also did other things that were never planned, but so it’s life, hard to predict.
Any way, I hope you enjoy the pictures and take some time to spend in a farm, grow you own food, compost or just visit some of this beautiful places

Bonbloc guiding you to 99 farming, doing one of the fastest XP rounds you will find.
I got 99 farming after uploading this video, so the Farming Skillcape is not shown here yet.
Total price is around 145mill, fastest method
____
[ - ] Quests needed:
Plague City = Ardougne Teleport
Biohazard = Ardougne Teleport
(Ghosts Ahoy = Ectophial, Not needed but handy)
Fairytale part 1 = Magic secatures
Mourning’s end pt 1 = Tiny Elf Crystal
The Grand Tree = Spirit Tree Teleport
Tree Gnome Village = Spirit tree Teleport/quick route out of the village
My Arm’s big adventure = Last herb patch
Death plateau = Last herb patch
Eadgar’s Ruse = Last herb patch
Troll Stronghold = Last herb patch
__
Maxed XP on Herbs and Trees
Any Questions will be explained below
[ - ] First note; you can also plant
cactus(al kharid)/mushrooms(canifis)/bush patches(south ardy+south varrock+miscelania+rimmington)
and
Water melons right next to all the herb patches shown in the video(except the trollheim one) though i don’t really know how much xp they are because i never farm for a whole day
+some hops
though these don’t give that much XP, i recommend Trees and Herbs.
[ - ] 2nd note;
If you’re working on chain farming (lots of patches in a row and restart this when you’re done.) You can use a terrorbird with tireless run scrolls(30-40% energy per scroll). easier than super energies if you plan to do it for a long period.
[ - ] 3rd note (Submitted by jubjueb123);
The Explorer’s Ring(Lumbridge Achievement Diary) can teleport you to the Draynor patch instead of using a glory to Draynor.
[ - ] 4th note (Submitted by jubjueb123);
If you prefer Farming with the Lunar Magic Spellbook, you can use ‘Fertile Soil Spell’ to treat your patches with compost. Also lunar Magics can teleport you to Catherby, **though I don’t really recommend this because when you’re working on normal trees you’ll have to bring extra runes for spellbook swap to the normal spellbook or teleport tablets.
[ - ] 5th Note – CALCULATORS
Check out the links underneith, both are really good calculators for any level or XP goal you have.
RUNEHQ
http://www.runehq.com/guide.php?type=calculator&id=0673
TIPIT
http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=farming_calc.htm
[ - ] Note 6 – Prices
going on from Note 5, follow the link underneith to find all prices on farming.
http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/results.ws?query=Seed&price=all&members=
From here you’ll be allright on your own calculating it i suppose
[ - ] Note 7: Noted herbs on herb rounds (By XvenAom)
“You can use the herbs on the tool leprechaun and he will note them right there…its useful”
At the time of vidding he wasn’t able to do it, usefull now though:)

My father-in-law built us a worm compost box and he wants to paint it. What color(s) would be good? We live in a suburban neighborhood and the box would sit alongside our brick house in sight of some neighbors.
We’d like to stay away from flashy sport’s team colors or anything too gaudy. Thanks!
If it helps, here are the directions he followed to make the box. It is likely made out of plywood, so a stain wouldn’t be applicable:
http://whatcom.wsu.edu/ag/compost/wormbins.htm
If you could provide a link to specific color samples that would be great!
Composting is always a good way to go. I am glad your into it. Is there no where else this compost box can be built somewhere in your yard? It would be ideal to be at the very back and somewhere hidden at least. Anyway, if this is the best place for it, why don’t you paint it like the brick of the house too? Paint it like the brick work. This way it’ll match the color and design of the house. At least it won’t be so obvious to your neighbors who sees it. Good luck!

I want to buy a small container for kitchen scraps for my compost pile outside. I don’t want to buy online – does anyone know a retail store that sells them?
I’m in the US, Tennessee.
Old fashioned hardware stores carry small metal rubbish cans with lid that work quite well for compost. You can also check with a feed or farm store.
As for myself, I use an old ceramic bean pot with lid for my compost ~ this was picked up in a thrift store for about $1. Thrifts are full of ceramic cannisters which are ideally suited for counter top compost storage.
